A place for everyone
Over the next five years, spaces for encounter and exchange are to be created here — especially to help overcome the divide between city and countryside. Studio Wandlitz is open to everyone, and especially to those who want to get involved in fostering togetherness.
History since 1976
The Studio's history dates back to 1976. That year, the first building was constructed on the site. It initially housed a locksmith's workshop, later joined by offices for a pipe-cleaning company, a scaffolding builder, and an exhibition space for bathrooms and pools.
Today's uses build on those of the past: where staircase railings were once crafted, artworks are now created. Where bathroom fittings and whirlpools were once on offer, artists now present paintings, graphics and sculptures. In the former offices, modern spaces for shared work are taking shape. In this way, Studio Wandlitz forms a bridge between old and new trades.
